Meet The Team
We are dedicated to assisting individuals with developmental disabilities. Over 70% of our team have been making a difference in the lives of the participants for over a year, many have left to pursue other interests only to return for rehire and 25% have been caring for our agency’s families for 6 -11 years. Our professionals work closely with our direct care staff in the office, homes, and community to extensively train, support, and creatively work as a team. It is our desire to maintain open and meaningful communication to provide the highest quality of service to the participants in our programs.
I am the Owner and Administrator of Developmental Concepts, Inc. I began working in this field in 1997, starting as a Developmental Specialist. I have worked as a Service Coordinator for both children and adults, a Program Coordinator and a Quality Assurance Specialist. I graduated from Gonzaga University in 1995 with a dual major in Psychology and Sociology and shortly thereafter moved to Idaho. I am grateful that I am able to use my education, training and many years of experience to positively impact people’s lives every day. Many participants that we provide services to I have known the entire time that I have been working in this field; they are like family to me and I am always pleased at the progress that has been made. I am a very proud mother of three beautiful children; all of my time outside of work is spent with them. They are very active in volleyball, basketball, lacrosse, and competitive cheer. My years in this field have taught me compassion, resilience, gratitude and strength which in turn only make me a better business owner, professional in this field and mother to my children. For that I am extremely grateful.
I graduated with a bachelor's in Criminal Justice from University of Phoenix. I volunteered for Family Advocates as a Guardian Ad Litem for children in foster care. My volunteer work helped me to understand the importance of involving myself in my community. Prior to joining the team at Developmental Concepts, Inc. I worked with mental health as a Community Based Rehabilitation Specialist and Case Manager. I was able to learn about the developmental disability community and advocate for several populations. Currently I am a Quality Assurance Specialist with DCI and am excited to utilize my skills and knowledge to grow with this agency. In my spare time you will find me spending time with my children, friends and family. In the future I plan to finish my master's degree in Psychology.
After receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boise State University in 2008, I continued on to Intensive Behavioral Intervention. I worked both in private agencies and public schools. I followed the program through the redesign transition to Habilitative Intervention. I continued my education in the field, completing my Master's of Science in Psychology in 2012. I feel strongly about advocating the needs of others in our communities. In 2015, I took time off to start a family, caring for my son. I first accepted a position with Developmental Concepts, Inc. as a Habilitative Supports Clinical Supervisor. Currently a Quality Assurance Specialist, I assist with the ongoing, internal agency reviews of the services our agency provides.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration in 2011 and have worked with adults with disabilities since receiving my degree. I have 3 grown boys and 1 granddaughter who is the light of my life.I enjoy spending time with with my family and my dog in the great outdoors as much as possible.
In Spring 2018 I accepted a position with Developmental Concepts, Inc. as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional. I was born and raised in Pocatello/Idaho Falls area. My bachelor degree is in Family and Consumer Science: Family Life with a minor in Dance from the University of Idaho. After school, I moved back to Pocatello where I was a Senior Services Program Assistant at Southeastern Idaho Community Action Agency for two years. I am very excited for the opportunity to grow here at DCI and to continue my journey with helping others. In my free time I enjoy taking dance classes, going on walks and most of all traveling.
I graduated from Boise State University in Spring 2018 with a Bachelors in Multi-Disciplinary Studies and a minor in Psychology. I would like to eventually return to school and earn my Master’s in Psychology or Social Work. I joined the team at Developmental Concepts, Inc. as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional in October of 2019. I have lived in the Treasure Valley for most of my life and enjoy working in a field where I can make a difference in people’s lives. I work in partnership with other agencies in the Treasure Valley to advocate for and enhance the lives of adults with disabilities. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and exploring new places, reading and listening to music.
Born and raised in Washington (Go Hawks!), I have now been a proud Boise resident since 2013. In 2015 I began working with DCI as a Residential Habilitation Provider, quickly loving the job through all its ups and downs. I have the privilege of working closely with the participants improving their home and social skills, as well as increasing their confidence and independence. I like to pride myself on always leading by example and celebrating the small steps as well as the huge milestones. My goal with each participant is to give them self-worth and the belief that tomorrow is a new day for new accomplishments. Now a Supervisor with DCI, I work with both staff and participants, hopefully making the day better with my help and positive attitude. I’m a bit of a class clown who enjoys making people laugh but my favorite person to make laugh is my husband, Jason, while we’re at home with our dog. In my free time I’m most likely playing with my fur baby or shopping to distract myself from adopting another dog. Support the ones you love and your local animal shelter.
I was brought on as the Office Manager at Developmental Concepts, Inc. in Summer of 2018. Prior to starting my job at DCI I worked for a large reputable law office handling administrative duties and general office tasks. I am excited to apply my knowledge and skill set to help further grow DCI as a company. When I am not working I enjoy camping, hiking and spending time with my family and friends.
I was born and raised in California and have been in Idaho since 2006. I was brought on as the Office Manager for Developmental Concepts, in the summer of 2019, after years of working in the Real Estate industry. I am very excited and looking forward to the change. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my 2 girls, my cat Samuel and being outside as much as possible.
As the daughter of two Special Education teachers, it is no surprise that I found my way into the field as a Special Ed paraprofessional in 2003. My miraculous recovery from a Severe Traumatic Brain Injury has given me insights into the things that individuals with special needs go through every day of their lives. I truly love the population I serve professionally, and am grateful for those opportunities. Seeing our participants grow and progress is very rewarding to me. I love music and singing, and am a firm believer in the therapeutic power of music in the lives of not only of the listener, but the performer as well. I am currently in the process of recording my own album on CD.
I am the the billing specialist for Developmental Concepts, Inc. I graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I worked in both Developmental Therapy and Psychosocial Rehabilitation after graduating. In 2006, I joined the team at DCI as a Program Coordinator (currently named Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional) in the Residential Habilitation program where I enjoyed working with the participants to meet their greatest potential. After starting a family in 2007 I moved to the billing specialist position. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 boys, running, volunteering, traveling and spending time in the mountains.
